Retired U.S. Air Force Captain Albert Whitesides Jr., 76, one of the original Tuskegee Airmen, blows out a candle during the "Lonely Eagle" ceremony in the Randolph Officer's Club. About 20 pilots, original members of the famed black World War II flying unit, were in attendance for the ceremony which commemorated Tuskegee Airmen who are no longer living and also celebrated the 50th anniversary of the U.S. Air Force
